remember me?
Hahah. Probably not! Anyway… the new year is approaching and you know what that means! New weight loss goals!
haha. And woo boy do I need them! I’m trying to decide whether to continue with this tumblr, or just combine my personal tumblr with my fitness tumblr. I think I’ll be more likely to post if I just simplify into one tumblr.
Look out for my post after Christmas… I’m not crazy enough to try to diet before Christmas. But there will be hardcore changes coming once January hits!
I’ll let you know what I decide about the accounts and post a link just in case you want to follow me over at my other tumblr!
Hope you’re all doing well on your journeys!
I’m baaaack.
Sorry everyone for disappearing! I just got really discouraged for a while on the diet - we kept going on trips, or I’d have stressful classes and not enough time to exercise, and I was just failing miserably. Well, now it’s summer and it’s crunch time to lose weight before the wedding! So I’ve started back, and I’ve been having some pretty good progress. Here’s my new update!
So I’m happy to report fantastic new stats! I worked hard this week - went to the gym four times, and cut out a lot of my snacking. And the results absolutely show! Starting weight: 167.4 (this time around!) Last week’s weight: 167 This week’s weight: 164 Loss: -3 New Measurements: Natural Waist: 32 (down from 34) Stomach: 35 (down from 37) Thigh: 21 (down from 22) Hips: 41 (down from 42) Calf: 15 (up from 14) Three pounds! Yaaaay. And that was even with making a July 4th yummy dinner for us - I just found low point items to make, including 4-point Brats, 1-point hot dog buns, corn on the cob and itty bitty potatoes for baked potatoes. I maintained my weight instead of gaining on the fourth, and then was able to lose another pound between yesterday and today! Sweeeet. And it’s funny to me that I gained an inch in my calves - I’m not surprised! My calf muscles used to be made of steel… freakishly muscular from when I did pointe ballet for years. My friends used to actually make me flex them and then try to poke them. LOL. So like I said before, anytime I start exercising those muscles tend to bounce back the quickest. I’ve never been able to get them back into pointe shape, but I’ve gotten close. So here’s to another fantastic week and hopefully another great loss! I won’t make it to 155 by the second week of July, I know that, but I’m going to try to lose as much as I can! Also - for fellow Weight Watcher-ers. Are there Spicy Pickle restaurants near you? If so, get their combo meal with an El Rancho Salad (small salad of romaine, corn salsa, black beans, tomatoes, turkey or grilled chicken = 1 point) with Spicy Ranch (3 points for the whole thing, I try to use only half) and Garden Vegetable soup (1 point). It’s a delicious and filling lunch for only 3.5 points! They give you a piece of bread with it, which is tiny so I’m assuming 2 points max. Sometimes I splurge and eat it, others I don’t. Having such a low point lunch lets me snack in the afternoon if I want to, but I’m definitely not starving after it! It’s by far the lowest point meal I’ve found in a restaurant. At the end of last week I started just getting the El Rancho, subtracting the tomato and adding avocado. It was AMAZING. Yum!
Weigh in!
Sorry - a little late on my weigh-in post this week!
Starting weight: 167.6
Last week’s weight: 165.3
This week’s weight: 163.6
Loss: 1.7 pounds.
Total loss to date: 4 pounds!
So I was hoping for a little bigger of a loss, but I should see the results of my hard work this week. I completed four days of workouts, including an additional two-hour tap session on Wednesday (we have a performance coming up so we’re getting extra practice in). I actually gained a little back early in the week, so I came down to 163.6 from 166. I lost two pounds in one day thanks to working out + tap!
Anyway - progress is progress! Goal for this week is 161 or 160.
In other news - ordered my wedding dress Tuesday!!! Exciting! Now I can’t wait to lose more weight and make those alterations ladies work for their money ;)
woooo
FINALLY back on track! No more vacations or holiday crashes to the diet in the near future and it’s good to be back on the wagon!
I lost 2.3 pounds this week! I weighed in at 167.6 last Monday and was 165.3 this morning. I worked out five days last week, including an addition 30 day shred session one of those days! And I worked out this morning - planning on shredding tonight too!
Of course, Jeremy (the fiance) is back on the wagon too, and lost 9 pounds during his first week. I hate guys. LOL
Anyway - waaaaay for moving forward!
My dad during his first trip to Disney - on his second date with my Mom! Talk about a great second date! This was 1974, I think.
old pics
I scanned a ton of old photos while I was home this weekend - getting ready to make a slide show for our wedding, starting with adorable baby photos of us, of course. I found a ton of old photos of me from the Disney parks, so I’ll keep adding those in the next few days. They’re so fun! Oh - but before I quit tonight, I’ll upload photos of my Dad from his first trip!
Chowing down on some popcorn in front of Cinderella’s Castle. 1987. Love the old stroller - wish Disney kept those around. I hate getting run over by the huge strollers everyone uses now!
My mom and I outside the Living Seas in 1987 - just before my third birthday. This is when my EPCOT obsession began.
